About asking and answering Word Up™ questions: When used while playing Word Up™ or one of the classroom quiz games on this site, the questions are read aloud. If the player reading the question is not sure how to pronounce one or more words, he or she may ask for another player, or the teacher, to help out. The player answering may ask for the question to be repeated, or ask for one or more words to be spelt. This applies also to Spelling questions except, of course, for the target word. The Question Categories Missing Word The player asking the question reads the sentence, making an 'mmm' sound or saying 'dot dot dot' to indicate where the missing word is located and then states the number of letters the missing word contains. The player answering gives any word with this number of letters to complete the sentence. If more than one word can be correctly used within the context of the sentence, all are included on the answer page. Most players will find these the most challenging questions.
