ASPIRE is New York State's registry and statewide training calendar for early childhood and school-age professionals developed by New York Works for Children, the State's integrated professional development system for the early childhood and school-age workforce. Teachers, providers, directors, trainers and anyone who works with children can use ASPIRE to keep track of important information about their career, including education, employment history and other professional development. Additionally, it provides access to training records and qualifications of providers - making it a valuable tool for OCFS licensing staff.
Responsibilities include single staff coverage during the overnight hours (10pm-8am) in program serving adults living with a mental illness, ensuring satisfactory functioning of the facility, cleaning, dinner prep assistance, evening safety routines, light lifting, supportive counseling, providing crisis intervention/ emergency service coordination to program consumers, and medication supervision. Job will require engaging in ongoing, regular interactions and providing supportive counseling with program consumers in a manner that is in keeping with agency mission and service philosophy, completing compliance activities, producing final reports on outcomes as required. Requirements include previous human service experience. High School diploma and previous experience with mental health required.
